Ethics Commission asks Council to hire outside law firm for ethics case appeal
The City Attorney has a conflict, so the commission wants Hecker Fink LLP hired with an initial $120,000.
A person penalized in a city ethics enforcement case is challenging the decision in Superior Court, and the City Attorney's Office says it cannot represent the city. The Ethics Commission asks the City Council to have the City Administrative Officer contract with Hecker Fink LLP, starting with $120,000 the commission would repay in full.
