Auditor-Controller says the nonprofit must redo how it charged shared costs to county workforce programs and repay any excess.
The county's Auditor-Controller reviewed Hub Cities Consortium, which runs job training and youth employment programs, and found weak financial controls and unfair allocation of shared costs. The Department of Economic Opportunity, which paid the agency about $2.2 million from September 2024 through March 2025, will work with it to fix the issues by June 1, 2026.
