Police Commission approves one-year extension of LAPD RV dismantling contract

SA Recycling would keep dismantling and recycling RVs and other vehicles removed from city streets through November 2027.

The LAPD program that scraps dilapidated RVs and other vehicles taken off city streets would continue for another year under an extended agreement with SA Recycling. The Board of Police Commissioners approved the extension on September 29, 2026, and sends it to the City Council for authorization before the current contract expires November 21, 2026.
