City Council committee recommends new Ad Hoc Committee on Charter Review

A single committee would take over all pending files on rewriting the city's governing document.

City Council· posted Jun 30Report

Proposals to change the City Charter, the document setting how Los Angeles government works, would be handled by one new committee instead of being spread across files. The Rules, Elections and Intergovernmental Relations Committee backed the motion by Harris-Dawson and Blumenfield on a 3-0 vote, and it now goes to the full Council.
