Board of Supervisors· posted Jul 27Report$601M

County auditors found the Department of Public Works does not consistently document checks of banned or poorly performing contractors before awarding contracts, which covered more than $601 million in spending in Fiscal Year 2024-25. Public Works agreed to the four recommendations, with the last due September 1, 2026, and auditors will verify in a follow-up review.
