County CEO seeks update to rules on work cellphones, with review set for 2031

Revised policy keeps limits on who gets a county phone and requires staff to repay personal-use charges.

Board of Supervisors· posted Aug 3Report

County employees would keep getting work cellphones and hotspots only when operational need justifies it, with annual reviews of each assignment and reimbursement for extra personal-use costs. The Chief Executive Office asks the Audit Committee to approve the updated wording and push the policy's expiration to October 2, 2031.
